Invitation and Call for Papers

Dear Colleagues, dear researchers, experts, scholars and authors on agriculture and environmental sciences, dear professionals, dear non-governmental organization leaders,

We would like to invite you all to participate in the forthcoming "International Conference on Organic Agriculture in Scope of Environmental Problems" to be held in Famagusta on the island of Cyprus between 03-07 February 2010.

Organic agriculture is practiced world-wide and displays an increasing trend both in developed and developing countries. In order to provide a steady and sustainable development, organic management systems should address environmental issues that gain increasing importance as the trade becomes more globalized. The conference aims to discuss the following aspects besides those that are currently under consideration or that may be further raised.

We can add many more questions on to the ones above. Where and when shall we add another significant loop to the discussion chain and to the solutions? Why not this year? Why not on the beautiful island of Cyprus where agriculture has always been a part of the culture?

Organic Agriculture is not only a new trend in production and consumption, but it is a necessity to fulfill all the basic principles during implementation and consider the impact of organic management system at farm, regional or global level. We are targeting to bring together a large number of experts and participants for the conference.

Papers and posters on following topics will be accepted;

An abstract of each poster and paper must be submitted to the conference until 15 September 2009. Our board of referees will evaluate the abstracts and will declare their acceptance status on 15 October 2009.
